Family Support

Our Room to Talk programme provides a safe and supportive space for young adults, children, and families to resolve disagreements, improve relationships, and develop healthy communication skills. Conflict is a natural part of relationships, and rather than avoiding it, we help families learn how to navigate and resolve disputes in a constructive way. Whether the challenges stem from communication difficulties, cultural differences, intergenerational misunderstandings, or parental conflict, we offer guidance to promote understanding and strengthen family bonds. This is a confidential process, designed to empower families with the tools they need to build stronger, healthier connections.

We offer up to three structured sessions tailored to each family’s needs. The first session provides a space to talk, be heard, and identify key concerns. In the second session, we explore options and ways forward, and in the third, we develop coping strategies to support lasting change. For some, these sessions may be enough, while others may choose to continue with a mediated conversation to work through ongoing issues. Whatever the situation, Room to Talk helps families find clarity, rebuild trust, and create positive communication for the future.

Neighbourhood Support

Building Stronger, More Harmonious Neighbourhoods

We recognise that getting along with neighbours and community groups isn’t always easy. Disputes can arise over issues like noise, pets, parking, boundaries, gardens, or antisocial behaviour, sometimes leading to strained relationships. While minor disagreements can often be resolved informally, there are times when extra support is needed to prevent conflicts from escalating. Our mediation service provides a neutral, confidential space where both sides can be heard and work toward a fair resolution. Our trained mediators meet with each party individually to understand their concerns and explain the process. If both parties agree, we facilitate a joint meeting, helping to resolve disputes quickly and constructively—often avoiding the stress and expense of legal proceedings.

Many neighbourhood disputes stem from misunderstandings or a lack of awareness, and mediation can open the door to better communication and cooperation. If your neighbour is unwilling to engage, we also offer conflict support, helping you explore alternative ways to manage the situation effectively. Our approach helps break down barriers, improve communication, and manage emotions in a constructive way. By empowering individuals to take an active role in finding solutions, we contribute to stronger, more connected, and peaceful communities.

Workplace

Workplace Mediation: Resolving Conflict, Restoring Harmony

We have extensive experience working with HR departments across a range of organisations, including schools, police forces, local authorities, and charities. Workplace disputes can be costly—not just financially but also in terms of lost time, reduced efficiency, and workplace culture. Our confidential and impartial mediation service helps resolve conflicts constructively, restoring harmony and ensuring that valuable team members remain engaged and productive. We work independently, without taking sides, creating a neutral space where employees can openly discuss their concerns and reach a resolution.

Disputes often arise from misunderstandings or communication breakdowns, particularly in fast-paced and high-pressure environments. Left unaddressed, tensions can escalate, affecting morale and team dynamics. Our conflict resolution process is flexible and efficient, often resolving issues within a single day. If one party is unwilling to engage in mediation, we also offer conflict support, helping individuals explore alternative ways to manage the situation effectively. By facilitating open and honest discussions, we help teams move forward with clarity, respect, and renewed collaboration. Contact us to discuss any workplace challenges you may be facing and see how we can support a positive resolution.

Community

Community Reach: Preventing Anti-Social Behaviour & Strengthening Communities

Our Community Reach programme is aimed at preventing anti-social behaviour and using our conflict resolution skills to work with community groups. This is an invaluable service that helps address tensions before they escalate, creating safer and more cohesive neighbourhoods. We provide support through community surgeries held at local venues, where individuals can speak with us about neighbourhood disputes, unwelcome behaviour, and other community concerns. These sessions offer a safe, neutral space to explore solutions. Additionally, we run workshops focused on understanding and preventing conflict, empowering both women and men to manage disputes effectively and build stronger relationships within their communities.

We work closely with a wide range of community groups, including those in supported housing, temporary accommodation, and independent living settings, ensuring that everyone has the support they need to thrive. Our services also extend to helping communities affected by hate crime, where we design bespoke programmes to support those impacted. Through initiatives that support the communication and resilience-building workshops, we equip individuals with the skills to handle challenging behaviour constructively. By working side by side with neighbours, we help create safer, more inclusive environments and encourage collective efforts to prevent conflict and promote harmony in every community.

Training and Skills Workshops

Training and Skills Workshops for Groups

We offer tailored training and skills workshops designed to enhance communication and conflict resolution for groups, whether in the workplace, community groups, or within local communities. Our workshops focus on building strong communication skills that create harmony, understanding, and collaboration. We provide practical tools and strategies to help participants navigate difficult conversations, manage emotions, and resolve conflicts constructively.

In addition to communication training, we run group conflict support sessions that provide a space for participants to address ongoing issues, share perspectives, and find a way forward. These sessions help move situations forward, promoting positive relationships and better teamwork. Whether you’re looking to improve communication within your workplace, community group, or broader community, we can design a programme that meets your specific needs and helps everyone involved move toward a more harmonious and cooperative environment.

Schools and Young People

Supporting Positive Communication in Schools

We have extensive experience working with young people, teachers, and school communities to improve relationships and resolve conflicts. Our work in schools includes mediating disputes between parents and teachers, parents and children, and school staff teams, ensuring that issues are addressed constructively. We also run training programmes and workshops that equip students and staff with essential conflict resolution skills, fostering a more positive and cooperative school environment. Additionally, we support young people in navigating day-to-day challenges, such as managing friendship group conflicts, handling peer disagreements, and building confidence in interactions with older students.

We also work closely with parents who may be experiencing conflict with their children, offering guidance and mediation to rebuild trust and improve communication. Our programmes include peer-to-peer conflict resolution training for students, transition support for younger pupils moving into senior school, and workshops for teachers on managing difficult conversations. In addition, we run resilience-building sessions and support for those experiencing challenging behaviours, such as bullying. Through initiatives like Young Peacemakers and Friends Against Bullying, we equip young people with the tools to stand up to bullying and create a more supportive environment. We provide flexible, tailored support for schools and families, and if you would like a specific training programme designed for staff, students, or parents, please get in touch to discuss how we can help.
